落叶丛生灌木，可人工造型为独干小乔木。花重瓣，半球形，直径9-12cm，花冠紫红色，不变色；花瓣紧凑，由5-7个花芯组成；花期6月-10月，不结实。

适种范围

中国北至黄河流域、南至海南岛的区域，日韩和东南亚各国均可种植。喜阳光充足，温暖湿润，土壤要求疏松，中性或微酸性。寒冷地区的冬季可否露地越冬，需要适种观察。

Variety characteristics

Deciduous tufted shrubs, can be artificially modeled as small single-stem trees. Double flower, hemispherical, 9-12cm in diam., corolla purplish red color which doesn’t fade; Petals compact, composed of 5-7 cores; Blooms from June to October, no fruit.

Suitable ranges

Ranges are from the Yellow River Basin in the north to Hainan Island in the south of China, Japan, South Korea and Southeast Asian countries. Sunny, warm and humid, loose soil requirements, neutral or slightly acidic. Whether winter in cold areas can overwinter requires observation of suitable species.
