灌木或小乔木；树冠圆球形，分枝较密集，长势良好。新枝紫色。叶二型。春夏秋3季开花，每花序有小花8~11朵，秋季花量较多。花梗黄绿色。花橙红色，花香中等。花冠斜展，钟形，裂片倒卵形或近椭圆形；雌蕊完全败育，不结实。

该品种适应性强，喜光；也耐阴，对土壤要求不严格，在酸性和中性土壤中均可良好生长，较耐干旱瘠薄；生长快，寿命长，易繁殖。

适种范围

可在华东，华中至西南地区等地栽植。

Variety characteristics

Shrubs or small trees. Spherical crown, dense branches, good growth potential. Purple new branches and dimorphic leaf blade. It blossoms in spring, summer and autumn, with 8-11 florets of each inflorescence. Pedicel yellowish green. The flowers are orange-red with medium fragrance. Corolla obliquely spreading, campanulate, lobes obovate or nearly elliptic; pistil completely aborted, sterile.

It has strong adaptability, sun-loving, shade-tolerant, not strict requirements for soil, can grow on both acidic and neutral soil, and is more resistant to drought and barren. Fast growth, long life span, easy to reproduce.

Suitable ranges

It can be planted in Eastern China, Central China to Southwest China and other places.
