落叶矮化小乔木，树皮灰褐色；嫩枝褐色，老枝灰褐色，叶纸质，长椭圆形或倒卵状长椭圆形，叶面绿色，光滑无毛，叶脉因色浅而清晰，背面灰绿色。花芳香，花被片初开内外均为绿色，后内外均为白色，外面基部约1/3处紫红色，具紫红色脉纹；雄蕊长1.4 cm，花药淡黄色，药隔桃红色；雌蕊群圆柱体形，绿色，柱头紫红色。蓇葖果圆柱体形，成熟时紫红色，种子黑褐色，外种皮橘红色。花期3下旬~4月上旬，果熟期8月下旬。

郑州、西安、杭州、成都、深圳及其气候环境相似区域（7-10区）。

Variety characteristics

Deciduous dwarf small trees, bark grayish brown; young branches brown, old branches grayish brown; Leaves papery, long elliptic or obovate long elliptic, leaf green and smooth glabrous, leaf veins light and clear, gray-green abaxially. Flowers are fragrant, green inside and outside of perianth at the initial blooming and gradually become white, purplish red about 1/3 leaf outer base with purplish red veins; stamens long 1.4cm, anthers yellowish, connective pink; gynoecium cylindrical and green, stigma purplish red. Follicles cylindrical, purplish red at maturity, dark brown seeds and orange-red exocarp. The florescence is from late March to early April and the fruit maturing is late August.

It is suitable for Zhengzhou, Xi'an, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Shenzhen and similar climate environment areas (7-10 zones).
