落叶小灌木，株型柱型或长卵圆形。小枝褐色，叶倒卵状椭圆形、椭圆形，基部楔形，腹面深绿色，背面绿色。花杯状，外轮花被片黄绿色，中2轮花被片背面深红色，腹面基部1/3~1/2浅红色，上部白色，内轮花被片腹背红色，或腹面上半部色浅至白色。雌蕊绿色，柱头红色，雄蕊浅黄色，药隔紫红色。聚合蓇葖果柱状椭圆体，绿色，成熟后呈浅绿色或绿褐色。

适种范围

郑州、西安、杭州、成都、深圳及其气候环境相似区域（7-10区）。

Variety characteristics

Deciduous small shrubs, columnar or oblong plant type. Branchlets brown, leaves obovate-elliptic or elliptic, base cuneate, leaf ventral dark green and leaf abaxial green. Flowers cup-shaped, outer tepals yellowish green, middle 2-whorled tepals abaxially dark red, ventral base 1/3~1/2 light red and upper part white, inner tepals ventral red, or upper half of ventral side light to white. Pistil green, stigma red, stamens pale yellow, connective purplish red. Polymeric follicles are cylindric ellipsoid, green, pale green BBB greenish brown when mature.

It is suitable for Zhengzhou, Xi'an, Hangzhou, Chengdu, Shenzhen and similar climate environment areas (7-10 zones).
